MaRCH 2010
Joie de Vivre Arts & Culture Tour
Dakar, Senegal
May 30 - June 6th
In celebration of the 2010 Dakar Art Biennial, join Taller Portobelo Norte in Dakar, Senegal as we take part in the Biennial festivites, visit art galleries and museums, and speak with professional fine artists in their private studios.
Participants will travel to Goree Island, home of the infamous Slave Castle, Pink Lake, where they’ll surf the sand dunes in four-wheelers, and Toubab Diallos' Sobe Bade Art Colony, offering classes in Senegalese Dance and Batiking.
A trip to Senegal isn't complete without enjoying their excellent French and West African restaurants, never-ending markets and vendors, and white sand beaches. Known for its jumping nightlife, TPN will be making nightly outings to party at Dakars’ many concerts and nightclubs featuring internationally acclaimed artists and musicians.
